  AMERIQVE'S Test Cauldron

The On-going mineralogy tests

        The premise is simple: a series of blind tests, where individual stones are carried or worn in a small leather sachet, and immediate and long-term impressions are taken and noted. The stones are worn individually for a period of no less than two weeks: one week preceding full-moon, and one week following, for 'wane-effect'. Only after the test does the subject get to discover which stone was worn, and whether it met the findings noted. Our results will be posted here, and we look forward to you comments & suggestions.

    A word on notation:

        Each time a new stone was donned, the questions were

  1. "What three words best describe the sensation of wearing it?"  (?-Approximate Effect; lacking sufficient terminology)

  2. "What effect (if any) was felt upon individual energy centers ?" (Plus/Minus/Neutral effect; Observations)

  3. "Describe the overall sensation"

  4. "Test the mystery stones placement/effect combination: If any, describe here"

        After the two weeks, the stone was revealed and the notes cataloged. You may differ in opinion as to whether you find the experiment a "pass-or-fail", but we will state our perceptions here with a confidence rating in percentile of confidence.

 

Stone #1

-       Focus

-       Goal Oriented

-       Concentration (?)

-       Chakra Stimulation: 1+, 2-, 3N, 4+ (Focused), 5++(F.), 6++, 7++(F.)

-       Calm Confidence!

-       NOTE: Better Effects while worn along chakra line.

Reveal: Tiger’s Eye

Historical Accuracy:     PASS; 85-90%

Retrospect Examination:

    In a stone reputed for it's "Courage Inducing" properties, it's more a case of "Absence of Fear". To boldly test the subject in this attribute would have tipped the nature of the stone and invalidated the test. This attribute was made more difficult to test, due to the extroverted nature of the subject. We will attempt to better correlate the stone-to-subject dynamic in future tests.

Stone #2

Reveal: Sodalite

Historical Accuracy:     PASS; 90-95%

Retrospect Examination:

 

    This stone is reputed to ease stress related diseases, and I think the results confirm that. The effect of clearing my upper chakras had me worried that I was becoming a sociopath! I wouldn't suggest prolonged use of this stone, as, when nothing bothers you, you don't have any motivation to improve, let alone, get along with people.

Stone #3

    That's what I said; Nothing. Not the kind of feeling like when nothing changes, but more like the way a drunken numb tends to pass over you, slowly, and unnoticed. Chakras dulled and my sense of "connectedness" dimmed. Only the diffused connectedness dimmed, but the linear, directed links remained only slightly impeded.

    The real difference was when I took it off at night.

    I would awake in the night with 'bursts' of anxiety, flashes of imagery, and packets of aggression. My only way to process it is to say it is like having my shield WAY Up, and then, in taking it off, everything starts to get through.

    You can see why I'd have difficulty completing this Test!

    What makes it harder is the fact that my house is also occupied by the ghost of an  ex Native American radio D.J., who's wife keeps his remains in and urn, below my kitchen. They had just decided to spread his ashes, and I'm guessing he's not very happy with the idea. When these 'blasts' of rage come through, I can't comprehend the language. I'm guessing he was raised speaking German, as the "Flavor" is the same.

    My assertion is that this stone is probably a major defensive stone, by nature. It should be combined with a grounding stone, as the time-released assault can be quite detrimental to one's mental health!

Reveal: Turquoise CORRECTION: Colorado Amazonite!

Historical Accuracy:     PASS; 65-70% CORRECTION: Unresolved; 50%

Retrospect Examination:

    My-my, the "Protection" properties were, to say the least, Impressive, but that was the only active element of stone that really came through! According to Cunningham, that aspect passed with flying colors. "Very Powerful", he said, and I concur! The other aspects, such as "Friendship, luck, courage, and love", were difficult to ascertain.   "Money", as he states was a good "Hit" on the mark, as shortly after beginning the test, our sales improved, and I was invited to work at a local store (which gave me a great excuse to get out of the house, meet people again, and away from the computer, part-time ~L~). As for the rest, they remain in question: Did the new job create the friendships, etc, or was it the stone that created the job, and therefore the rest? It's all far to ambiguous to say for certain, but the results were there.

    This stone is worthy of further testing, but said testing, under the conditions we work within, would put too much "Placebo Effect" potential into the data.

    I suggest others find a way to employ this stone and explore these potential uses.

(NOTE: I need a break! This work is really throwing me off-balance! ~Azzerac)

CORRECTION: It has since come to our attention that this stone was NOT in fact Turquoise, but in reality Lake George Amazonite! Amazonite is reputed to have a money-gain attribute that makes it popular with gamblers. Though it may have been responsible for my new-found "day job", the side effects make it indiscernible from any number of other stones for protection. It's attributes were too similar to the essence of Turquoise, in end result. Perhaps the 'anxiety effect' could be effectively applied to a gabling situation, but I would not prescribe this stone to the un-initiated.

Stone #4

Immediate impression: Touching Stone Case: Impression of Color Pink

Second Time:        (Two Hours Later) Impression of the Color Orange

 

Effects:  Augmenting Other Stones-

                What was normally a Base-Line state, with my usual stones (A small collection I cycle through, along with a standard, daily stone), the effects were combined, and intensified!

                My standard stone is  a Tiger's Eye ring, I wear every day, and a large Egg-Stone that varies, depending upon the day. Day one, The women I encountered had dramatically strong reactions! These reactions were in keeping with their usual reactions, only amplified to 11, on a scale of One-to-Ten!! One woman felt an over-powering urge to hug me, while another took it upon herself to berate me.

                The Day-Stone was Red Jasper.

                The next day, every woman had an overtly positive reaction, and those with an obviously  heterosexual disposition, began flirting openly with me.

                The Day-Stone was Poppy Jasper

                It seems that the Day-Stone, when coupled with the Tiger's Eye and the Mystery Stone, amplified & broadcast the effects of the Day-Stone.

                The Results & Intensity increased with the waxing moon, and faded as the moon passed full.

                My assumption is that the stone is Quartz.

Reveal: Citrine Point

Historical Accuracy:     ~Inconclusive~

Retrospect Examination:

    Cunningham described Citrine as a "Facilitator of Psychic Awareness", and my ability to sense the color of the stone, through the container seems to indicate that. On THAT count, I give it high-marks. The problem arises from the realization that, in my vanity, I felt I could "Juggle" several stones, and still keep it clear.

    That was very bad science on my part. I guess we live & learn, and the two are inseparable.

    This stone will re-enter the list of Un-Tested Stones, and I will go to the greatest of pains to ensure accurate results, with renewed humility & dedication.

Stone #5        1/6/09 - Starting 2 days after 1/2-Full Waxing Moon (A Tuesday)
Initial reaction:
                Hardening of aura; a sense of density to energy-field.
                Material Focus: Determination as to goals: productivity in particular.
Chakras:
        Crown~ (Energy Sense altered, but equal & steady)
        3rd Eye: +
        Throat -
        Heart: crystallized & set*
        Adrenal: + & set*
        Sacral: - & set*
        Root ~, +, & set*

    *- "Set" is the best way I can word this. The normal pulsations seems to stop, and the energy seems to charge & hold, at it's new level, induced by the stone.

Psychokinetics way up: Easier to get results.
Language skills down (may have been effected by diet: Meat mostly)

It leaves a footprint: When the stone is removed, the effects last. This may be a confidence effect. As PK went up while wearing the stone, the confidence may have bolstered enough to repeat the effects without it. Not likely, though, as the chakric effects were still present. Perhaps it's me?

Approaching full-moon, a pre-cognition effect set in, subtly. It started subtly, and then began to border on embarrassing. I would remember things that haven't happened yet. I was remembering a book, lying about the house, even damaged, as I was buying it. I remembered there being wheels on my stationary office chair, only to receive that very rolling office chair, less than 12 hours later. This pre-cog lasted for days, even after the test was complete, and the stone discontinued.

Reveal: Carnelian

Historical Accuracy:     PASS/Fail%:  30% Fail (But in an Amazing Way!)

Retrospect Examination:

    The only real & true confirmations I can make between the results I found, and our reference material (Cunningham's Encyclopedia, Paul Beyerl's "Master Book...", Gienger's "Healing Crystals")  are Courage & Willpower. I have perused other sites, and their references, and found they include "Drive to Accomplish Goal & Business Ventures" within this stones description.

    "Astral Visions", I feel is almost impossible to quantify, as (due to added willpower) I chose this time to quit smoking, and was on The Patch; a non-smoking aid renown for inducing powerful dreams.

    Nowhere did I find listed the effect of such profound levels of Pre-Cognition or Psychokinetics as I experienced. This may simply be my Personal reaction to the stone, but, as with all things in Witchcraft & Wizardry, Willpower is Paramount! Could it be that the simple addition of this stone was enough to push me past some 'threshold', some barrier?

    Truth-be-told, we are not all in the middle of the bell curve. If we were, there wouldn't BE a Bell-Curve!

    This is how it effected Me, and though I can't endorse it's Historical Attributes, I know it is of Immense Value to Me!

    I will never be without one again (accept during other stone tests).
