"I'm
getting mixed signals/The card I'm seeing is the next card in the deck."
Look at the card in your hand. Now, look at your other hand: Are you holding the
deck in your other hand?
Put it down!
No wonder you're getting mixed signals: You're trying to read one
card, and the one under your thumb, AND your fingers, AND every card in-between!
Place the deck on the table, and only touch one card at a time.
If you find your abilities easily distracted, go
wash your hands and start over.
You're sitting there, trying to focus, and little niggling thoughts keep
intruding: Stuff from the next room, or apartment, or the building next door.
If you
haven't shielded your home or
room, do a quick, cursory version, and then arrange a date to do so in
full-blown ceremony.
If you aren't
in a position to, then I guess you're going to get good at the cursory-casting.
~If you
already have even a minor gift in this area, this will help keep the static at
bay.
"I get these flashes, and the more I grasp at
it, the more it slips through my fingers. What's up?"
You're doing what we call "Forcing a Fart".
I try to warn
in earlier pages (and I'll link them as I find them) that the pathways of the
temporal lobes isn't like other senses.
Most other
senses are run through a main switchboard. ESP centers are not.
That is why I
emphasize re-learning how to "smell". It's the one sense that doesn't.
~Can you imagine trying to Smell something by dragging the aroma to your face?
~Can you honestly say you've dragged light into your eyes?
~You can't force a fart, out or in, without risking an issue.
Simply relax, and let it come.
~Since forcing it under control doesn't help, then open your "Inner Eye" wider,
to allow it a greater path.
~To decrease anxiety, try disassociating the data from yourself: Step outside of
the event, being an observer and not participant.
~There could be negative associations to the data that are outside of your
perception
~Work on the Synethstesia
Exercises, to widen your ability to process data more thoroughly, and find
the missing pieces.
~Work on
Concentration, to keep better control of your enthusiasm, which could be
interrupting the effect.
