The little things in Forcing The Universe to your Will!

Again, "This is a rough one"!

It would be easier to explain the process empirically, if only I knew how others managed the feat. For me, the sensory, feedback, and personal cues are only seen through my eyes & mind. I have no second point for comparison. The experience could differ widely & dramatically, from person to person, but One only has their own perspective to work from.

Don't be afraid to play with these techniques, either here or elsewhere in this text, to tweak it to your own thought processes & standards

That being said,...

Probability Modification (Prob-Mod) is a simple mater of taking a more aggressive stance on the act of observation. We all sit back, and watch the world unfold, but what does it mean "Unfold"? We can feel the change in the wind, the sun on our skin as the clouds break, the Doppler-effect as a car drives by, and we can wrap these up together in a neat little package that we can call "Reality", but what does it really mean? We compose interesting little stories of what we call the universe & The Real World, by piecing these unconnected experiences into a string of events, and just because they seem to come from "Outside" of us, do we really think we don't influence them?

What is sound without the ears that hear?
Can "Warm" exist without the nerves that feel it?

We define the base-line. We define the zero-line of Hot from Cold, Loud from Soft, Large from Small. We set an arbitrary mark, and call these things so. We Judge. We define for our selves the meanings to words we hear, and apply them to the models. We create the definitions as we associate them to these early models. We define ourselves within this ever growing array of definitions. As survival-based organisms, we continually strive to be more-right in our definitions of these terms.

It gets even worse...

ALL of your senses are nothing more than electro-chemical reactions, functioning like little windows, giving only part of the information to a network of other nerves (Brain Cells) that try to make sense of it. To complete this key-hole view of the universe. we write little stories to fill in the blanks. Some of the stories we write are so convincing that we can look right through the facts that threaten this world view (See "Thinker & Prover", "Prometheus Rising", Robert Anton Wilson, New Falcon Press). We've gotten very good at story-telling. We've gotten so good at it, in fact, that to try to change the story (our Life) becomes a system-shock event! It can threaten the sanity.

PROB-MOD:

Step One: Go Nuts!
Be prepared to, at least. When you get into the down & dirty of Prob-Mod, certain reality models get strained & torn. After a working, you question (again) the very nature of reality, and sanity, of history, and even the extent of your place in the universe! Remember when I mentioned "Quiet Time"? This is where it comes in really handy!

If things are too difficult to rectify, even after hours of bad TV (Is there any other kind?), then you have to maintain a Taoist Perspective, and learn to just be okay with your inability to comprehend the ramifications of your results.

Skills to work on....

Synethstesia! One of the aspects I realized today, was the ability to sense multiple 'senses' through my skin. As my baseline sense is tactile, this isn't too surprising. I translate everything, psychically, as "Feels" or "Smells" (That's another side effect of prolonged ESP studies: Everything gets shunted into, or translated as, Smell, as it, like smell, doesn't pass through the hypothalamus, but is a "Direct Brain Experience". Your baseline sense should take on weird new parameters of it's own).

Temporal Lobe Stimulation! This time, with Fill The Room (See Exercises, Appendix A), we're going to "Ping" the room. Do "Fill the room", and then Charge Chakras (Not a Full-Blown, but just a cursory charge), and then release the energy into a kind of "Radar Ping". As the ping reflects, savor the different sensations of the returning wave. More importantly, see how the sensations change. Look for differing information than what the usual five senses seem to be telling. Look to how the "Ping" info varies from the usual data from the previous version of "Fill The Room".

MOST importantly, see if the data coming back disagrees with your 'fill-in-the-blanks' ideas of the universe.

It helps me to close my eyes while I do this. Maybe a dark room would work as well. Maybe not. If you get too accustomed to changing your environment to meet your mood, how well will you do when you need these skills 'on the fly'?

Compare the results with how your Usual "Fill The Room" results have been panning-out. If the two models clash, reconcile them or carry them both. These two differing models (Passive & Active Perception) can become like reference points to triangulate the way your own mind translates the data, as well as the differences between what is our "Within Reality" (Story-Telling) & "Without Reality" (The real world we white-wash over). Neither of them are more-true, but these models can be chosen between, like channel-surfing on Cable TV. The ability to transpose reality models is crucial to Direct Prob-Mod. If all goes as intended, you should soon have three distinct images of reality. These three Images will be the baby-steps of our next page.

I make no claims that even this technique, or full-blown psychic ability will paint the complete picture of the universe. Again, one must ask, "Is there even more to the universe than this?". Asking that question, and following-up on it, exploring it, is what makes for a much better wizard/witch. Thinking you know it all is a self-delusion that stymies growth.

Never be afraid to ask the questions. Stretch Your Mind and You Stretch Your Understanding!
