"All Is Now" (Illusory Time)

(Brought To You By,...)

  All is “Now”.

That’s it in a nutshell.

You can guess the rest from there, I’m sure.

Well, maybe I should say a little more.

Shall I?

It’s Ironic that I should be writing this on my 43rd birthday. It’s actually downright appropriate, given that today I’m learning the difference between my age & the numbers' preconceptions. We have an image of a thing and then there is the reality of a thing. The closer we can compose these two aspects, the more power we have over them, individually and collectively.

Of all of our models, time has been made the most convoluted. In western culture (Occidental Culture), we have placed so much importance on tracking, marking, predicting, and clocking time that we tend to fail in experiencing time. We dread the future and mourn the past.

            Neither are real.

There is only one actual time.

            That is Now.

Every moment is now. All of the past and all of the future is this very instant. Everything IS happening, all at once, but how we divide that time within our own minds is what keeps it from happening all at once. This is why it is thought of as Illusory Time. "Time is the illusion". We produce the illusion of time. It's ours. Make it yours.

This Tao, or ‘now-time’ perspective is the foundation of far Eastern (Oriental) cosmology. Quieting the mind is not only a philosophical pursuit, but vital to the martial-artist’s performance & skill. The ability to be in the moment, and react within the moment; these are prized traits.

In Hindu mysticism, ‘now’ & ‘here’ are inherent concepts, which attach the location of the individual to a definitive state of being. All areas outside of the individuals’ perceptions are, by default, mutable, ephemeral, and attainable through redefining the individual. If everywhere & every-when is where I am, then I am everywhere, and simply by redefining where I choose to be, I am there and I am ‘then’. This is a concept called “The Web”. In a method not dissimilar from Frank Herbert’s “Dune”, and the Guild of Spacers ‘Folding of Space’, one merely changes where & when by deciding to experience those different locales.

In psychology textbooks, this is called “A Mild Psychotic Break”. The ‘on-demand’ disassociation of one’s mental-to-physical relationship, the ability to disassociate your reality structure, are considered signs of mental illness, and are tantamount to insanity. They are also a Wizard’s Stock & Trade.

These last two pages are simply a glimpse into what a spell-caster needs-must do, every day, with every moment, and every situation. By reasserting one perspective over another, and changing reality models as quickly, one gains the ability to assert ones will in the most effective fashion. THIS is what people mean when they say “Changing Consciousness”, in the Witch & Wizarding World.

            This is simply a beginning.

Switching these frames of mind at will or whim is as changing cameras on a live Television Broadcast. It gives the best perspective for reality, to encompass the actions & reactions. The difference is that you’re in the picture, as well. You are the camera AND the action. Now that you’re learning these building blocks, you should take the time to look back through, and reread. See how what you’ve learned to this point has changed how you see what you've read already.

The two concepts of time, all alone, are enough to warrant revisiting “Mental-Health Day”, as they can wreak havoc on your mental stability.

The trick isn’t in changing consciousness. It’s in decisive changes in consciousness, in accordance to your own Will. Becoming ‘un-hinged’ does no one any good. Controlling how you change your own viewpoint, and whether or not you change it, is the real trick. Simply flip-flopping reality models is no better than shattering your mind with horrific quantities of hallucinogens, never to return. Control is the goal. Changing reality models changes reality, in accord with the laws of Infinite Probability, Infinite Perspective, and Personal Perspective.

Developing the ability to expand & tighten your perspective to relevant factors gives you the ability to find the greatest point of leverage to a situation, enabling you to have the greatest effect with the least effort. This is vital at early stages of development.

What has this to do with “Now Time”?

I know a man who teleported, in time & space, right before my eyes, as he traveled across California & 8 months, because he knew he was elsewhere & else-when than where & when he “really” was. It was never in question. No doubt: only belief.

I would regularly ‘think back’, asserting a state of “Now time” and ‘past-perfect’, existing, mentally, in a state 45 minutes earlier, and telepathically summon one of my apprentices, who was 45 minutes drive-time away. He would pull to a stop as I reached the street, coming to a halt directly in front of me.

Translation: As you get to the more advanced workings, everything “Real” melts away, and all that remains is the mutability of your perspective, and your will that it is ‘real’, making it real.

            Makes ya’ feel kinda’ God-Like!

Time is how you see it, how you choose to see it, and most importantly, only as real as you choose to see it.

…just like everything else.
