Micro/Macro-Cosmic Relationships

This isn't the easiest of topics to address, as (though it should be recognized) it must not be dwelled upon!
There is a problem that occurs when one attempts to examine these functions of the mind. Through the attempt to examine the "self" and it's motivations, one is simply creating a simulacrum, an homunculus of the "Self", and is examining that. The act of self examination is False. A false self, a false examination, and false results.
Instead, self examination should be a practice of 'end-of-day' meditations. Only then can you examine your motivations, in retrospect.
Trying to examine yourself "In Process" is like placing two mirrors, facing each other, one reflects a reflection of self, and one only sees that infinite reflection. One forgets that the observer is the true self that is trying to observe the "Self", so it creates a "Mini-me" to examine.
You aren't a TV show. Stop Watching Yourself and BE yourself.
That being said, examine the following, and reflect upon it (after reading it, that is ~L~).
The Law of Micro/Macro-cosmic Relationships:
Sounds great, don't it?
Let's simplify it to something more recognizable:
"As Above, so below".
This little nugget is a drawn from "High-Magic" practices, and has found it's way into modern wiccan circles. Lovely, isn't it? It seems to say "The Divine has Willed This, and Made it so! The life we live here is by divine mandate", and on and on. What it really means, in this context, is that Two Worlds are made as one, and as Actions are observed spiritually, they is manifest in the material world.
"So it's a spiritual-template thing, eh?"
Not exactly.
Remember when we covered the Subjective reality elements, a number of laws ago? Well, this is that, only inside out. (WOW! That was enlightening! ("Let me sum-up!" ~Inigo Montoya)
You are living your own map. You construct a model of the universe within your own brain, and interact with it. Constant sensory data updates this map, and assumptions fill in the blanks. You are already dealing with a mirror world, within your mind. It's a mirror of the real world. This isn't to say that "Mirror" is a direct corollary between the Cross-Hemisphere Inversion, though time will tell. It means, simply, that all of your life is akin to the matrix that you saw in that movie of the same name. It's a series of sensory models that you interact with, simply from a foundation of being your sole form of interaction with the universe.
Everything that is happening to you is simply in your mind.
As with the Law of Similarity, you are working with similar images: Change the image in your head, and you change the world. The image in your head is like the Poppet in a voodoo spell, the significator in the tarot spreads, or the writing the "speaks in your head" when you read. It's your Life-Long Dream.
That being said, forget it!
If you dwell on such things, it will either lead you to suicidal tests of the subject, or drive you into neurotic schisms. You're better off leaving this little toy alone, before you break it!
Simply remember that you have always been enacting this law, and now we show you how to employ it with intent!
To demonstrate this, perhaps it would be best to give a scenario, and allow you to examine it, in parts......
You are in a Circle. There are many around you, and a ring of salt is drawn about the altar, with torches or lamps at the four compass points, holding back the night as they light the circle. As quarters were called, the affirmation was intoned (if not ingrained) that you were in "a time outside of time, and place outside of places" (or something to that effect). The energy was summoned-up within the circle, and the casting, focusing, and release of energy takes place within the circle to effect outside events & targets.
The altar, the circle, and even the night contribute to the microcosmic-to-macrocosmic division.
It's a matter of focus (Not to be confused with "Concentration").
The smaller an area you have to have control over, the easier it is to exert said control. The dominion of will within a smaller area is easier on the exertion expended on the focus, be it a Poppet, or invoking runes, or a "Pro-active Tarot Casting" (We'll look into these later on, as well).
The night casts a contrast between the "big, impersonal world", and the sphere of experience that is your magical working area. It offers fewer distractions, and allows you to forget how imposing it can be. "If it seems like too much, take it in bites" ~Your Mother (Paraphrased).
The circle is yet a smaller micro-cosmic representation of the world. Small enough to control, but large enough to allow for assistance. A world for you and your friends.
The altar: "All you have to change is what's on the altar, and you effect the universe (or "Multi-verse" (Better, Heather? ~L~)).
Your Mind: The smallest Micro-cosmic Model of the Universe. It's easiest to change and reprogram, and by altering it, you alter the uni-/multi-verse.
You've been doing it all your life.
....now, forget it.
