"Steal This Book of Shadows"
ver 2.0 "The Lexicon" (Brought To You By,...)
NOTE: You will find me using certain term interchangeably, as a mater of habit. before this gets too convoluted, it's time to define these terms. If you spot me doing it, call me on it! Alchemist: One who uses "Occult through Chemistry". Thought of as the misguided research scientist, he actually looks for patterns of The Divine in it's manifestations on Mater. Jung's archetypal-ism has denigrated and degraded his physical research to simple symbolism, and his "Great Work" is reduced to a paltry "intellectual exercise".
Aura:
Bio-magnetic energy field the surrounds the
body.
Chakras:
Literally translates to "Wheels".
Energy centers in the body. Divination: Fortune Telling, usually implementing an intermediary or device, such as a divinity (god) or a tarot deck/tea-leaves/peeing-in-the-snow. Druid:
Not dissimilar to a wizard, they are natural
philosophers that perform their works through their understanding of the
universe through observation and instruction through their Order. More of a
shaman than scholar, they Meridians: Streams of Auric energy that flow through the body. They're represented to a greater or lesser degree in both Hindu & Chinese practices. Nadas: Energy centers in the body, similar to chakras, but off from the main energy conduit, sequel to the spine. They are centered along the Hindu equivalent of meridians, and appear at specific pressure points. (More research needs-be done)
Psionics: A term developed in the 1900's used to allow science-fiction authors to use "scientific magic" in their stories. The witch or Mage was reduced to a series of little mechanisms in the brain that you either had or didn't. It turned the witch into a one-note-flute of magic. You couldn't have them have any real power. How else would their be any drama? Better to keep them a "One-Trick-Pony". Tan Tien: One of the three energy centers in the Chinese chakra system, employed in Chi Gung, or "Tai Chi" Tai Chi: The series of slow "Martial Arts" exercises and postures used to gather, move, store, and direct "Chi", or Auric Field Density Levels. Temporal Lobes: The two lateral protrusions of the brain, that run just beneath the surface of the temples. Tsubo: "Pressure Points" along the meridians, used to modify energy flow to specific organs & areas of the body. Wiccan: For the most part, they are theurgists, supplication to the Twin Polarities of the Five-Fold Pantheon (Consort/Dark-Tannist & Maiden/Matron/Crone) of "Mother" and "Father". Witch: (NOT to be confused with Wiccans) Those that "Get the Job Done"! Herbalism, Thurgy, Thaumaturgy, Alchemy, they combine these and more into their own unique style. Wizardry, but with More props and less drama. Wizard: Not to be confused with Sorcerer (the Stereotypical "High Magician"), the true wizard depends more upon internal abilities and less upon summonings, bindings, and Commandments. A true wizard knows them, but is more likely to Banish than Bind.
