(Brought To You By,...)

The Idea of pen-and-paper books may seem out of place on a text like this, but MANY people prefer a hardcopy to the e-book thing. I, myself, am one of those. Since I lack a printing-press, or patience with Publishers, this book is stuck in the Ether, and on your screen.

Still, these are the ones who've inspired me on my path, and gave much-needed direction. It would be a bit off to say "That when the Student is Ready, the BOOK arrives", but when a flesh-and-blood Teacher isn't available (or can't keep up!), these have been the next best thing. "Give them their day in court"!

Isaac Bonewits: Author of "Real Magic", and (a D'andD'y Favorite) "Authentic Thaumaturgy", from Steve Jackson Games. Great if you want a Stereo-Instructions kind of guide book, It's his Gamers Guide version of "Real Magic", but I find the Structure of the writing preferential in places to the original.

Scot Cunningham: ANYTHING that includes his definition of Magic. It can get pretty Dark & Ominous, working the Craft, Wizardry, and Associated Arts. It's a good idea to include something that occasionally reminds you of the Joy & Exhilaration that is the essence of practicing Magic.

Paul Huson: "Mastering Witchcraft". Back in 1983/84, it was the first book on witchcraft that I ever read, and is the source of "The Five Internal Attributes". (Thanks again for loaning me the book, Pasquala Batista!)  NOTE: Do NOT perform the "Un-shackling Ritual" as stated in the book (Page 20), Under ANY Circumstances! Reciting the 'Lords Prayer' backwards is a definitively satanic act, and ...'calls things'. It is not the kind of attention you want. Trust Me on this one! (You Can't Un-Ring That Bell!)

Anodea Judith, Ph, D : "Wheels of Life" is an in-depth study of the Chakras, as they are perceived by middle eastern philosophy. It goes into greater detail than any other book I've found, and it would be redundant for me to try to expound on it here. There are places where I digress from her precepts, but they will be pointed out, and more often than not, I agree with her findings.

C. W. Leadbeater: "The Chakras". If you aren't looking to spend too much time on them, This book is only about 132 pages long. It is heavily referenced in the Anodea Judith text above, but less daunting that it's 453 pages. Still, I do push for you to study the phenomenon in any case, as they seems to be the source of all life force energy. (Argument of a "Chicken or Egg" variety still persists, concerning "Aura or Chakra")

Masters & Huston: "Mind Games" (Yes; the inspiration of the John Lennon song of the same name) was originally a guide for Guided Hallucinatory Experiences. I discovered, while practicing their exercises that the Synethstesia Exercises actually had a positive effect upon my Temporal Lobe Access Pathways. Given that each person has a more dominant single-sense, the blending of senses gives the ability to derive multiple sensory experience from that single sense.

Sterling Publications:     "The Psychic Energy Workbook" is a grand, heavily illustrated guide on "Games to Play with The Aura!"

"The Astral Projection Handbook" is also a favorite of mine. Superior (in some ways) it the Denning & Phillips Llewellyn Guide to astral projection, in that it doesn't attempt to miss-guide on Chakras, it also gives "Things to do" while your there

Donald Tyson: His  Annotated version of "The Three Books of Occult Philosophy" of Cornelius Agrippa" is the best I've seen, and (as he states in the book), it's enough info to write your Master's Thesis in Occultism!

Robert Anton Wilson: "Prometheus Rising" !! An Awe-Inspiring Guide on The Evolutionary Development of The Human Brain, and It's Software! I can't Suggest This Book strongly enough! It includes the research of psychologists both Famous, and Infamous! Look for it from New Falcon Press!!

Fred Allen Wolf: "Taking The Quantum Leap", was the first scientifically founded text I discovered on the principles of 'flexible reality structures'. (You may remember him from that "What the bleep" movie ) Though I was not as captivated by his later works, "Taking the Quantum Leap" is a must!

That's it so far.
